Orlando/Kissimmee area is usually described in two (2) words, family holiday parks. But
the Orlando/Kissimmee area has much more to offer. Campers of all types can find prime
camping opportunities in the Orlando/Kissimmee area. Specifically looking for tier two (2)
camping, you can find plenty in this area.
Are you looking for a tropical getaway, where you can still have all the conveniences of
"home?" Look no further than Tropical Palms Resort and Campground. This tropical resort
offers fabulous tier two (2) campsites, with everything you need to relax and enjoy your
vacation. While the kids swim in the wonderful pool, you can relax in a lounge chair with
a tropical drink from The Toucan Cafe. Everyone will enjoy basketball, volleyball, or even
a quick round of mini golf. You can shop the outlet malls or even visit Old Town, with just
a short car ride. You can even take the kids to the nearby theme parks and return from the
exhaustion of park hopping to your own tropical paradise.
Not feeling the tropics? Grab some camping gear and try the Ponderosa RV Park. The tier
two (2) campsites are perfect. With a heated pool, a recreation building, and a playground,
the kids will find plenty to keep them busy. Need to use the internet while your vacationing,
Wi-Fi is available to campers of this park. If you get the desire to visit the theme parks
or enjoy some shopping, no worries, everything is just a short drive away.
Are you a KOA member? The Orlando/Kissimmee KOA offers excellent tier two (2) campsites.
With a heated pool and a hot tub, you can enjoy the water even in the chilly winters. With
the availability of Wi-Fi and cable TV, even on those rainy days you won't be bored. Some
seasonal activities include ice cream socials, pancake breakfasts and campfires. Looking
for some adult activities, try the wine and cheese tastings offered seasonally. Again, you
are just a short ride away from shopping, Old Town and all of the theme parks.
Want to be in the heart of the action? Try Fort Wilderness Campground right in the heart
of Walt Disney World Resort Holiday Park. With 750 acres of lush wooded land, it is sure to
please those who wish to experience themed camping. Golf cart rentals, bicycle rentals, boat
rentals and horse and carriage rides, provide the opportunity to tour all 750 acres without
tiring your feet. With multiple swimming pools, a lake, campfire sing-alongs, outdoor movies
and an outdoor barbeque, you may never want to leave.
If you decide to visit one of the four (4) theme parks or Downtown Disney, no worries,
transportation is never more than a short walk away. No matter your style, you can find
a campground to suit your needs anywhere in the Kissimmee/Orlando area.

How To Rate Florida Campgrounds:
Orlando/Kissimmee campgrounds are rated on a tier system. Tier one (1) would provide a camper
with the most basic of amenities; water and sewer hook-ups, 30 AMP power, and a back
in site (good for tent campers, or pop-ups). Tier two (2) gives the camper a few more
amenities; includes water and sewer hook-ups, 50 AMP power, pull thru site, RV parks etc
will likely provides cable TV hook-ups.
Finally, tier three (3) sites would be the premium of the campsites; offering everything
a tier two (2) site offers, it will usually also include generally nicer views and closer
proximity to bath houses and other amenities of the park.
Where To Look?
So
where do we start? Orlando campgrounds, RV campgrounds, campsites, Kissimmee campgrounds
& Orlando state parks are in large demand here in Florida with big named companies like
KOA and Disney who offer a large selection of camping activities, plus foot stomping
entertainment.
But let's not forget the stand alone campsites throughout the area; some real good down
to earth campgrounds are available, which won't dent your budget!
