Before we start...Orlando fishing has not been on our too do list!

Apart from the odd time we have fished the lakes along side our villa, we have never found the time to explore those fantastic lakes and rivers.

However, saying this...we felt with such a popular hobby, some information was required for the fishing people within your travelling group.

100's of lakes are situated in Central florida area and most places you see when you are out and about are advertising bass fishing guides, fresh water fishing, salt water fishing, charter fishing and fly fishing.

Lake Tohopekaliga...this is the place to go to catch that big one which 'hopefully' will not get away...reports coming in state record catches for 2007/08 are expected.

Fishing licences are required for lake fishing but if you decide to take a charter trip some charters will not require a licence as most are within the price (check first)...see our links below for further information.

Your own transport would be advisable but most charter trips do pick you up at an extra cost.
